1. Service Description

WellCovered is an insurance information and education service. We help travelers understand what coverage they already have, identify gaps, and decide whether to purchase additional coverage before a trip or event.

WellCovered is not a licensed insurance broker, agent, or advisor. We do not sell insurance policies, bind coverage, or make coverage determinations. Our analysis is for informational and educational purposes only.

2. How It Works

You can use WellCovered by:

  • Forwarding a booking confirmation email to ask@wellcovered.ai
  • Entering trip details manually on our website
  • Chatting with our AI assistant about your coverage

We analyze your trip details against publicly available credit card benefit guides and insurance policy information to generate a coverage brief.

3. Account & Authentication

Your email address is your account identifier. We do not use passwords. Authentication is handled via magic links — secure, time-limited URLs sent to your email address. Magic links expire after 30 days.

4. Data We Collect

We collect and store:

  • Email address — your account identifier
  • Trip details — destinations, dates, costs, and booking information
  • Coverage sources — credit cards and insurance policies you tell us about
  • Conversation history — chat messages with our AI assistant

5. Third-Party Services

WellCovered uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Anthropic — AI analysis (Claude)
  • Supabase — database storage
  • Postmark — email delivery
  • Upstash — session management
  • Langfuse — service observability
  • Vercel — hosting

6. Affiliate Disclosure

When our analysis identifies coverage gaps, we may provide links to insurance comparison services. WellCovered may receive a referral fee or commission if you purchase a policy through these links. This does not affect our analysis — “you don't need to buy anything” is a first-class outcome, not a failure.

7. Limitation of Liability

WellCovered is an insurance information service, not a licensed insurance broker or advisor. This analysis is based on publicly available policy and benefit information and is provided for educational purposes only. It is not a determination of your actual coverage. Your coverage is determined solely by the terms of your individual insurance policies, credit card benefit guides, and other agreements. Before making any insurance decision, review your actual policy documents and contact your insurance carrier, credit card benefits administrator, or a licensed insurance professional directly. WellCovered may receive a referral fee if you purchase a policy through a link in this brief.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of WellCovered after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
